1. 1. If you are enrolled in one of the following classes, select your books on app.mybooks.lu:
   1. a) classes in general and classical secondary education, as well as in vocational training programs at public secondary schools (see also section 2.a);
   2. b) classes at private schools that follow the public school curriculum (École privée Fieldgen, École privée Marie-Consolatrice, École privée Sainte-Anne, Lycée privé Emile Metz, École privée Notre-Dame);
   3. c) European classes at public schools (École internationale Differdange et Esch-sur-Alzette (EIDE), Lënster Lycée International School (LLIS), École internationale Edward Steichen Clervaux (LESC), École internationale de Mondorf-les-Bains (EIMLB), École internationale Mersch Anne Beffort (EIMAB), École internationale Gaston Thorn (EIGT));
2. If you attend one of the following classes, you will receive your textbooks directly at school:
   1. a) Voie de préparation classes, Classes d'accueil (ACCU), CLIJA/CLIJAA classes, and international classes at a public school leading to the International Baccalaureate.

Then, starting from the date of the change, you can once again take advantage of the free textbook offer.

The following are all free of charge:

• Required textbooks;
• Books selected by secondary schools as required textbooks;
• Digital versions of these books (eBooks/eContent), if available;
• Required teaching materials in the form of photocopies (if required textbooks are not available), which you receive at your school.

In that case, you are only entitled to one copy of the free textbook.

For the 2026–2027 school year, textbooks can be acquired via app.mybooks.lu from July 23, 2026, through July 15, 2027.

After July 15, 2027, you will no longer be able to obtain a free textbooks for the 2026–2027 school year.

What if I have to take a makeup exam (travail de vacances) in September 2026? In that case, when can I choose my books?

As soon as you have received the results of your makeup exam, the administration at your school will assign you to a new grade. You can pick out your books the very next day.

To get started, go to www.mybooks.lu.

Click on the app.mybooks.lu button.

Log in with your IAM ID (see below: Do you need help?).

Access your personal profile and the list of textbooks you’re eligible for.

Select your textbooks. They will appear in the app with their barcodes.

Go to the bookstore (see the question below: Where can I acquire the textbooks?) with your smartphone or tablet. If you don’t have a smartphone or tablet, you can print the barcodes for the selected textbooks.

The bookseller scans the barcodes and hands you over the textbooks.

Once the bookseller has scanned the barcodes, you will no longer be able to exchange them. Make sure you have chosen the correct textbooks before going to the bookstore.

If your personal reading list includes a required textbook that’s available in both French and German, and you’re not sure which one to choose, it’s best to ask your teacher at the beginning of the school year.

To pick up your textbooks, you’ll need to visit one of the partner bookstores participating in the myBooks.lu program. You can find the list of partners here.

If a required book is listed as “Delivery to your school planned by SCRIPT” you can pick it up at the school when the school year begins.

Yes, you can acquire the books in several steps and from different bookstores. However, the bookstores must be listed on the myBooks.lu partner list.

Some textbooks come with an eBook or digital content. Once you’ve purchased the textbook from a bookstore, you can access the corresponding eBook edition at app.mybooks.lu. Simply go to the digital content section, where you’ll find the required access code. You can use this access throughout the entire school year.

Parents can access the list of free textbooks for their children by logging in to eduguichet.lu.

SCRIPT may have new copies of certain required textbooks available. In that case, the book will be delivered to your school right at the start of the school year. 

Delivery usually takes a few days after the order has been processed. Distribution will then be organized by the person in charge of textbooks at your school.

 As soon as the book is available on site, its status in the app will change to “Delivered to your school by SCRIPT”.

If the status “Delivered to your school by SCRIPT” is displayed, this means that the textbooks have been sent directly to your school. The school will let you know as soon as possible the exact time and place where you can pick up your package.

The Ministry supports the sustainable and responsible use of textbooks. If you have second-hand textbooks or aquired them, for example through upbooking.lu, you will not need to get the same book on app.mybooks.lu. You can deselect the book on app.mybooks.lu and receive a voucher worth 50% of the book's price.

The voucher can only be used to purchase books (textbooks that require payment or other books).

Once you’ve deselected an unrequired textbook by clicking the “Book Voucher” button, 50% of its value will automatically be credited as a voucher, which remains valid until July 15, 2027. You can use it right away or combine it with other vouchers later. To redeem a book voucher, show the barcode that appears in your “Book Vouchers” section at one of the partner bookstores of the myBooks.lu program. 

If the book you want to buy a the voucher is cheaper than your credit, you can use the remaining balance laater. If the book is more expensive than your credit on the voucher, you’ll need to pay the difference.

No, you'll have to go to a bookstore in person.

The voucher is valid until July 15, 2027.

No, the voucher is issued in your name. You may only use it to purchase other books for your own personal use.

The Ministry will neither replace lost or stolen textbooks nor reimburse their value.

If a printed barcode is lost or stolen and used by someone else, it will no longer be possible to obtain the corresponding textbook for free. The same applies for the voucher.

In the event of fraud or misuse of the myBooks.lu program, or in the event of document forgery, the Ministry may demand full or partial reimbursement of the relevant amount and take appropriate legal action.
